There is truly nothing more empowering than bringing your baby into this world. I believe in the natural process of birth; that mother's are wise, strong, intuitive, & capable. My goal as your doula is to support you, make you feel heard, & encourage & honor you in whatever your preferences may be. My hope is to give you the education & resources to feel confident in your choices, & be a balanced viewpoint throughout your pregnancy & birth. Your birth experience is YOURS. I will always respect that & advocate for YOU.
Every mama is unique, every birth is unique, & every baby is unique. I will embrace your journey through pregnancy wholeheartedly, ride the waves of labor next to your side, & give empathetic care during the vulnerability of postpartum.
My name is Allison Champ & I am so glad you are here! I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2018 and together we have two beautiful, free spirited little girls; Emerson & Wrenley & a sweet little boy, Hudson.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development & Family Relations, though most of my career has been spent as a stay at home mama. I am a Certified Birth Doula through Childbirth International & a Certified VBAC Doula through The VBAC Link. My passion for pregnancy & birth began during my second pregnancy while planning a homebirth & hiring a doula of my own. Due to being diagnosed with placenta previa later on in my pregnancy, I transfered to OB care & delivered my second baby via c-section at 34 weeks.
With my third pregnancy, I had a beautiful & redemptive HBAC (homebirth after cesarean)!
Due to experiencing three vastly different pregnancy, birth & postpartum experiences, my desire and calling to support other women during this transformative time has only grew. Between the comparison of all my births (one vaginal & medicated, one cesarean, & one natural homebirth VBAC - HBAC), I learned a whole different side of what birth care can look like, quality support women can be given, as well as the number of choices women have. I wholeheartedly want to encourage other mamas to see the same side.
I would be honored to join your journey & becoming not just a doula, but a friend.
